Milesight MLS-SNSR-GAS is a compact, industrial-grade methane (CH4) gas detector designed for South African mining and industrial safety. This device features a high-sensitivity electrochemical sensor to detect methane concentrations up to 1000 ppm, with an alarm threshold set at 25 ppm. It includes a built-in 1200 mAh Li-ion battery providing up to 12 months of operation on a single charge, eliminating the need for frequent battery replacements. The unit operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +50°C and supports NMEA-0183 serial output for integration with existing monitoring systems. Its rugged design meets IP66 standards, ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments. Installation is straightforward, with a standard 12-24V DC power input. This detector complies with South African SANS 10168 safety standards for gas detection.
